We ended our two-year, experimental Wake Up! project with an international conference called Non-formal Education in Rural Areas, which took place on 12 April 2018 in Łobez.

These two messages accompanied us throughout the project.

The topics presented during the conference included the main premises of non-formal education, the value and usefulness of the project, and the possibilities for including the methods applied in the project into broadly understood education.

We presented model studies prepared by an international team of experts, which will allow to include non-formal education into the existing education systems in Łobez Commune as well as other rural areas. These are A Strategy for Developing Non-formal Education in Rural Areas Using the Example of Łobez Commune and A Guide to Pedagogy of Freedom, ie a compendium of non-formal education methods and tools.
